Stop Procrastinating With 4 Easy Steps

Let me tell you one thing what I have realized some time ago. Everything we do is just a habit. What we eat, where we go, what our daily routine is, whether we exercise or not. Have you ever experienced or know somebody who had to stop working out for any given reason. After just a few weeks when they get back to the gym, they usually say, “Oh man, I am so lazy to start again, beginning is always the hardest.” Trust me, I know what I am talking about. My passion for exercise was always there, but once I stopped for a short period of time, it was harder to get back on track. Why? Because I got out of my habit, even worst, a good habit.

Today, I would like to talk about how procrastination can kill your dreams and keep your success away from you for a long period of time or even forever. Why was I talking about habit? Once you get on a track of habit not to procrastinate what needs to be done, things will change. You will see bigger and better results and definitely, you will feel better about yourself. As I have mentioned, the beginning is always the hardest.

Make a daily plan: If you are new at this, it will help you to write down everything you want to be done the next day. Every night, before you got to sleep, take pen and paper and write down in a few words what you would like to accomplish the next day. Really, make it simple. If you know for sure you can make a list only in your head and remember it, then go for it.

Stick to it: Here we are about to unfold the hardest part of it. Not every day is the best and I know, sometimes it is just not working. But, my question is, how much do you want to change?  You have to be a little bit harder on yourself If you want to see different results. You have to stick to your plan as much as possible. This is not a place for fun or relax, this is time to take serious action and be discipline. Better things in life don’t come quickly, but taking baby steps every single day will make a huge difference. Continuously working on your dream every single day will be more than you think on your way to successful life. Make it a HABIT to not procrastinate.

Be grateful to yourself: At the end of the day, write down everything you are grateful for, especially for things on your list. Thank yourself for being discipline, look at the mirror and be proud on yourself. If there is anything you haven’t done even when you were supposed to, encourage yourself that the next day you try harder and actually, try harder.

Look back: After a certain period of time, look back. Take your list with all the things you have been grateful for that you’ve accomplished. Look at the results, where you were and where you are now. I guarantee you, if you stick to your list, make discipline your second name and work hard, you will be highly rewarded. You will be rewarded with satisfaction, bigger and better believe in yourself, higher self-image, and you will get into the habit of doing things on time. Trust me, you cannot put a price on that.

Bonus: 90-day game plan: I would like to suggest you to make a game plan. Make it for 30 days, 60 days or 90 days, whatever works for you better. Once your game plan has been completed, it is time for “look back” step. During those 30, 60 or 90 days, don’t pay attention to results, just follow your daily plan. You are going to be surprised and shocked how many things you have done and accomplished.

Sometimes what we truly want seems to be very far from us. That is why we decide to procrastinate because we think it might never be completed. Baby steps are the key to whatever you want, whether it is more money, maybe lose weight, go back to school. I guarantee you that with the right plan, what makes absolutely clear what, when and how, everything will be easier and simply reachable. Go for it, YOU CAN DO IT!
