“Strength and growth come only come only through continuous effort and struggle.” Napoleon Hill
Have you ever found yourself in the situation when you’ve tried everything, put your entire effort in it, but all you saw were the same results every day? Did you feel demotivated and about to give up? Then you and I, and tons of highly successful people out there have something in common.
There are hardly any people, if any, who didn’t go through it in life. The important question you must ask yourself is how to find the strength to overcome this time and stay motivated. Sometimes it may seem as results are not there because they are about the poop out and maybe create the biggest breakthrough. But you will never know this for sure if you give up.
Here are four proven ways which will motivate you when there seems no hope and empower your belief.
1. Focus on positive results and feel gratitude
During the “down time”, being positive is more important than ever. The best way how to achieve this state of mind is by feeling gratitude. It may seem hard to feel grateful when things are not going as planned. You need to force yourself. It is part of the strength and the secret of great achievements. You need to put your mind in the desired state so you can attract things and results you want.
Every day, at least once a day while showering or driving or doing any other routine activity, think about everything you have in your life right now. What would have happened if it wasn’t there? Often we get stuck on what we want so bad that we forget about all the good stuff we have accomplished.
2. Turn to motivational books and blogs
Have you ever read an article or listened to a motivational audio and suddenly one sentence, one expression made you stop immediately and think about it. It felt like you had an epiphany. Something clicked in your head, and you saw the bright light at the end of the tunnel.
Hardships require positive information. You need to feed your mind with knowledge which gives you 1000 reasons to keep going and empower your mindset at the time of crisis. Out there are thousands of books and audiobooks, blog as this one or any other motivational website which are here to help you and encourage you when you need it the most.
3. Watch out for your self-talk
When things aren’t the best, we tend to forget how important is positive self-talk for mental attitude. Practice the way you speak to yourself and focus on the things you want, not the one you don’t want. Anytime you catch yourself thinking negative, stop. Look in the mirror and find any little positive and good thing you like about yourself.
Positive self-talk will help to increase your self-esteem and reduce stress. This will allow you to have more energy on taking positive actions with desired results. If you feel satisfied and sure about who you are and what you can do, you are more than likely to get a better outcome.
4. See the bright future
One thing I always advise people is to focus on the end result. It is very easy to get caught up in the frustration from not seeing the outcome you want. By visualizing what your future looks like, instead of focusing on temporary failure, you will boost up your motivation and forget about quitting. Your future will make you excited and remind you again why you started.
Before I wrap it up, I want you to understand that no matter how hopeless you feel right now, don’t throw in the towel. Hardships are what make you stronger. Soon you are going to be sitting with you friends or family and remembering the tough times you went through and maybe even laugh about it. So don’t give up because best is yet to come.
