4 Ways How to Feed Your Mind With Positivity

“The positive thinker sees the invisible, feel the intangible, and achieves the impossible.” Winston Churchill

Positivity is not a result of genes. It isn’t something we are born with. It is an attitude we decide to have throughout the life. Becoming strong-minded individual with a positive perspective on life takes effort and often, it doesn’t come easy. Becoming an optimist is a matter of choice.

Your mind is the power and if you have ever struggled with being positive and optimistic, I can relate on this with you. A few years ago, I was the biggest pessimist you can imagine. I thought that this is the way how I was brought to this world and it is out of my control to change it. Fortunately, I have discovered that I can’t be further from the truth. I started to study, read and mostly, practice positive attitude.

In this article, I would like to give you some of my knowledge and actions I have taken for the past four years, and the difference it will make in your life. Here are 4 ways how to feed your mind with positivity and take control of your thoughts.

1. Break bad habits

This is the first thing I want to start with because our life and our attitude is a result of habits we adopted. If you tend to yell, get angry or being constantly upset about something, it is an outcome of your habits. You got used to acting this way and it seems natural. You accept it as a reality and you may define yourself as an angry person.

You can be anything or anyone you chose to be. If you change and break bad habits, you will change yourself and get different results in life. The next time when you about to act in an old way, stop for a second and think. Is this a person you want to be for the rest of your life? Is your approach making you happy or after you feel guilt and no control over yourself? Breaking bad habits take some time and practice, but it is nothing impossible.

2. Use your logic and think consciously

You must think before you speak or act. Use your intelligence and ask yourself powerful questions which will change your state or make you realize that you are about to make a mistake. Think about consequences for yourself and others. Let’s be honest here, does it really benefit you? I don’t think so when you are reading this.

Another thing to be aware of is a power of your conscious mind. Thoughts are born first on a conscious level and then they are transformed into the subconscious mind. This is why you must choose your thoughts wisely. Once you start breaking bad habits, your will watch out for negativity and create positive thoughts and positive feelings. The best part? You will transition it into your subconscious mind and it will become more and more natural to you. Anytime you will tend to act in an old way, your new habits and awareness in thinking will help you make the right decision.

3. Seek successful stories

Let’s face it, we all love successful stories which empower and inspire us. If you are working on something in your life, whether your intimate relationship, raising your children, building your own empire or trying to simply have a freedom and peace, find the right people who have done it and get inspired and motivated by their results.

Have you ever heard about Roger Bannister, the first man in history who was able to run a mile in less than 4 minutes? Experts or trainers said that it is physically impossible. But this didn’t stop Mr. Bannister. Because of his dedication and unbreakable vision, in 1954 he was the first male in a history who overbore this barrier. Only two months after his record, another runner broke a “4-minute barrier.” How is that even possible? Everyone at that time believed that there is no way to accomplish it.  Do you think that other runners were inspired by this story and open their mind to what is truly achievable? I think so.

4. Go BIG on personal development

In order to become happier and more relaxed, you must feed your mind with the great amount of positivity. Books, audios, stories or events. It doesn’t matter where you start, but you must start somewhere. Good things don’t just come, you have to go after them. You must take action, learn and grow and gather the right information which will expand your mind.

I just downloaded an amazing app which allows you to have an access to hundreds of books as well as audios, it’s called Scribd. There is a little monthly fee and you will have constant access to everything. You can download it to you tablet or smartphone and have it everywhere with you. FYI, I am not trying to promote anything here, only share with you what is helping me and definitely, makes my life easier.
