4 Ways How to Dominate Your Mind with Empowering Thoughts

We all have those days when we get up on the wrong side of the bed. I love this expression because it is as ridiculous as it sounds. No one is waking up moody or grumpy because of some higher power which the person can’t control. The choice of thoughts is merely our responsibility.

Before I started to dive really deep into my feelings and how to take control over my life as best as possible, I was like a mad dog barking around, completely taken over by my present state of mind. I truly believed that I cannot control my thoughts and feelings. Such a silly misconception, isn’t it?  Each of us has more than enough energy and self-control to take over their thoughts as well as their feelings. You and I have the opportunity to stop circumstances from controlling our minds and chose to live comfortable in own skin.

Are you asking how? Here are 4 ways which I personally practice almost every single day to improve and grow and I hope they are going to help you as well.

1. Become a conscious thinker

The first step you must take is to think. Think why you need to make this commitment to yourself, think about how it will change your life and affects life those around you. If you have struggled in this area, you need to have strong “WHY” for making a change. Changing your thoughts and being in charge of your feelings may be tough at the beginning.

Why do you think so many people live a miserable life? They live this way because it is easy. It is easy to be and feel sad. This lifestyle isn’t a result of being lazy, they chose this life because their “WHY” isn’t big enough to push them into making the change. Being aware of your thoughts is crucial for further improvement.

2. Eliminate negativity

What source of negativity you feel is around you? Is this source people, TV or your own mind? Find the bad roots and whip them out. You can’t expect to be positive when everywhere you turn is some influence of negative energy.

One of the best things I have done in my life was quit watching the News. Let’s be honest here, what do you actually find in the News? I don’t know what country you are from but where I live is always something crazy going on.

Everything is about making a choice. Maybe you have too many toxic people in your surroundings. Quit hanging out with them or at least eliminate the contact. It isn’t your responsibility to inhale someone’s negative energy since you are trying to do the opposite.

3. Empower those around you

One of the most rewarding ways how you can strengthen your mindset with positive influences is helping others empower their minds. Be kind to people and highlight their strengths. People love when you talk about them in a positive way. Encourage others and show them their good qualities. Once you see how they blossom because you give them encouragement and positivity, you’ll grow and strengthen your mind at the same time.

The effective way how to do this is to remind them of their triumphs or good times. Times when they felt courageous, determined and powerful. Make them think about those moments, especially when they are having a bad day or they are going through some difficulties. It can change their mental state within minutes.

4. Habitually practice gratitude

Every morning when you wake up, find 5 minutes to sit down and think. Think about everything you have in your life, all the good stuff and feel thankful for it. Name it in your m and feel the moment. You have tons of positive things you can celebrate in life.

The problem is that we get so hungry for more, we completely forget how far we have come. Don’t get me wrong; it’s good to be hungry and want to have more in life. But you need these 5 minutes of the day to appreciate what you already have. Only by continuous appreciation and gratitude, you will attract more things to feel grateful for. It is a rule.
