Feelings. One of the most powerful attributes of human life. What we feel determines what we think, which shapes each area of our lives. How can you fulfill yourself enough to walk this Earth like a king, to feel empowered and balanced?
I’ve met so many people in my life, including my own self who were looking for the happiness outside of themselves. I must tell you; it took me a long time to find out that I have been looking in a wrong place. So I wondered. What can I do to grow within and feel good every day? How can I switch from “maybe happy” to “always happy”?
I haven’t discovered some unusual secret since each of these steps which you are about to read are only simple things you do daily. I have listed for you 10 most important ways which you can use to achieve inner fulfillment and change lives those around you as well.
1. Tell the truth
Sounds simple, doesn’t it? But how many of us are actually doing it? Telling the truth to people’s face is one of the hardest things to do because it often requires tons of courage. The benefit? You will feel good about yourself and who you are and at the same time build up your loyalty and quality relationships with those around you.
2. Make others feel important
If you can lift up others spirit, if you can raise their confidence, you are a magnificent human being. Small minded people are not capable of that because they are jealous and insecure and don’t want to see other’s growth.
I know from my personal experience that any time I appreciate someone for what they do or who they are, it makes me feel great. It makes me feel like I am making someone else’s life better. I don’t want to sound corny, but sometimes you may be the only person who reminds others their value and how important they are in this world. If others grow, you grow with them.
3. Follow your heart
I can’t begin to tell you how important this step is for your happiness. For you to follow your heart, you must have the courage to deal with everything negative along the way. There are going to be haters, doubters, failures. All these obstacles will try to prevent you from reaching what your soul is dying for. Work hard to overcome every single problem along the way and keep going no matter how hard a journey may be. If you conquer this, you will handle anything.
4. Do what scares you the most
You don’t have to go above and beyond to do some crazy stuff to overcome fear. Little simple things which you can do every day are enough. If there is a girl who you want to invite out, do it. Or there is this phone call you are afraid to make, do it in spite of that. Practicing courage and getting rid of the fear of rejection is one of the best ways how to improve your self-esteem and believe in yourself more.
5. Learn about your pain
Pain is a big part of your life and often it will be a cause of your biggest breakthroughs. Don’t ignore it but learn about it. Why are you in pain? What causes you this feeling? You will not only learn about what you like or dislike but also find out more about yourself and become more aware. Pain is here to change your life, and if you use it wisely, it will turn out to be an excellent teacher.
6. Stop explaining yourself
This step is my favorite since I have been trying to explain myself very often. Then I found out that you can’t build up your happiness and please people at the same time. Many individuals along the way will create their own reality about you anyway, so why to explain anything?
7. Practice affirmations
You should have at least one or two affirmations which you practice every day, depending on what area of your life you want to improve. Do you want to believe in yourself more? Do you want to raise your confidence? Do you want to become more positive and balanced person?
One of the things I do is switching my mind from poor mindset to wealthy mindset. Since I have been growing up in a very humble environment where people work their ass off all life and end up with nothing, I found it difficult to believe that I can live differently. Affirmations have helped me to change this perspective.
8. Work on your progress
One of the most rewarding feelings which will bring you tons of happiness is progress in life. Whether in your relationship or career, people are programmed to feel satisfied the most when they see positive results from work well done. Of course, if you are planning to sit in your living room all day long and daydream, you will hardly see any progress. The action is required, but the reward is totally worth it.
9. Think more, react less
One of the golden rules I have learned from Bob Proctor was to respond, instead of reacting and it changed everything. Part of your personal fulfillment is the feeling of having control over your life. If you are always reacting, your mind and circumstances control you and outcome isn’t usually what you wish for. But when you respond, you are rational and in charge of yourself.
